The Latte' Factor Works Even At Any Age: On Living Well
In my early adulthood, when I was finally able to afford, at least some of the things I wanted and/or needed, I became a big fan of frivolous spending. I had to have that new issue of Esquire, that personal trainer at the gym (not just the gym), an office in a better location, a more trendy breed of dog or cat, live in a nicer neighborhood, and, of course, later, "My morning Starbuck's". I "had arrived". The "American Dream"or so it seemed, for awhile.
Going Organic With Bono
Over two decades ago I was just another "corporate policy wonk" in our nation's capital. I had been working in media and p.r. for over a decade before I decided to strike out on my own and "build my own empire". It was more like "The Empire Strikes My Back Side". I was quickly becoming, or had become, a workaholic, which would serve me well later when becoming a cartoonist and e-tailer; purveyor of humorous gifts and collectibles on the Internet, the business I am in now, but I would there would be some dues to pay first. Many in fact.
Probably The World's Only Roy Orbison Cartoon
In 1998, I was one year into my Londons Times Cartoon project. I was still living, working, and trying to survive in an abandoned rural Mississippi warehouse. Nobody would rent to me as they, I am certain, felt this former 9-5 business executive had lost his mind for launching a cartoon at age forty three. I was a year into the project. Not a lot was going right, I could clearly see it was a hobby, and I would eventually need to take some kind of job in sales, but for now, I was obsessed with seeing it through. Then a marketing idea hit me, which, at the time, I thought was brilliant (I humbly add). I would create another series of cartoons called "Panel Hollywood" and feature real life celebrity caricatures and then mail signed copies directly to them or to their agent to forward. Out of the 150 or so that we created and mailed, about twelve responded, and even offered reviews, which was my strategy. Their reviews of the work remain on my main cartoon website.
Soothsayers Feel Smarter American Retailers Going Earth-Friendly
The facts are obvious. Retailers are retailers, even the big dogs, are "going green". It was bound to happen and it is about time. Of course the Wal-marts, Targets and Sams Clubs of the world, most likely, will never go fully earth-friendly, and merely offer sections in their stores rather than become another Whole Foods, it is still a very good sign. I was in Kroger's last week, a place I'd not shopped in awhile. It is clearly going green with, what appeared to be more than half their groceries stamped organic.
Learning To Laugh
There's a myriad of reasons why we laugh and use humor in our lives. Humor goes back to the prehistoric days, or so they say. Since that was a few years before my time (but unfortunately not too many years before my time), I will have to take archaeologists word for this phenomena. I remember loving to laugh as a child. My mom was the joke cracker of our family until I came along and tried in all earnestness to out-perform her. She was a natural and it was impossible. But and making her laugh, was especially fun, as she was a perfectionist in the field of humor.
Is It Too Late To Be Earth-Friendly After Fifty?
My loved ones know I'm going green and they worry at me. They really shouldn't. It is the right thing to do. Besides this is really not my first time to improve my quality of life. I started recycling many years ago, and other than taking organic vitamins and trying my best to eat natural foods, but that was about as much as I felt I could do at the time.
Where Do You Stand With The Earth's Environment
In the early 1970's, while living in rural Mississippi, I remember hearing my mother speak of a woman who had had incurable cancer, given chemotherapy, and sent home to die by her oncologist. She allegedly took an herb for several years and the cancer went into remission. Of course, I was skeptical, until I met the woman, then in her seventies, and appeared a picture of health. This started my quest at the nearby library, which did not offer much, to read about a more natural way of living.
You're 15 Minutes Of Fame Is Awaiting You Sir/or Ma'am
Last night I turned on a cable news program. I was busy in the kitchen and couldn't see the screen but I heard a voice that I remembered always sent chills down my spine. I walked into the living room and sure enough, staring me in the face, swastika on forehead, was Charles Manson and a news reporter. It was a bit spooky.
5 Money Saving Ideas For Holiday Shopping
1. Comparing Prices: Common sense tells us that one can get a much better price on virtually any retail product in the "off-season" which runs generally from mid-May through the end of August. Prices can be as low as 80% of their regular prices (even regular discounted prices) during the rough and tumble "finding just about whatever is left" during the holidays at inflated prices.
How Bono (Of the band U2) And His Wife Ali Launched My Green Biz
I owe Bono (of the band U2) and his wife Ali a tremendous thank you for helping me launch my business. The great irony is, they probably will never read this, and will never know what they did for me. But what they are doing for the planet, with Edun Organics is not only a business they launched, of organic cotton textiles to make eco-friendly clothing, but (at the risk of sounding overly-dramatic) a gift to humanity.
Downsized? 7 Steps Of Internet Success Paying Nobody Else
Suddenly you are unemployed. Maybe you worked hard for your money forever it seemed. Possibly your company downsized, or you were fired, or your health declined. In any case, you found yourself at home watching cable news, yet still receiving the same bills reflecting your previous lifestyle. Aside from the obvious ego-blow, you feel confused, sad, and overwhelmed.
A Fisherman's (Funny) Nightmare
I am old now and reaching minnowpause, a good many folks think I'm mentally eel. My theory though is that I've haddock with life, not unlike Salmon Rushdie or Marlin Brando. Mahi oh mahi. Since I've always marched to a different drummer, you know, or sang like Tuna Turner. I live down on squid roe. and been a shad bit egocentric, people have tried desperately to save my sole. Holy mackerel, if I could count the times. Those bassturds. They just perch up on their high seahorse and talk down to me as if I'm pond scum. So what's it all about, Algae? You may think I'm shellfish and cruel but read between the lines.
Eco-Friendly Business: Psychic & Financial Rewards
The transition to start a "green business" or "eco-friendly" one, as it is often called, is not always as easy as it seems. I felt it would be an easy challenge for me, seeing that I had launched one of Mississippi's first health food stores. There was no Internet, no Google, no blogging, nothing. I paid high rent in a mall across from the local university. The local townsfolk felt I might be possessed to believe that natural products might be better than what could be bought at A & P Grocery. (I am showing my age here).
If Social Security Says You Are Disabled, Is That "The End"?
It seemed like only yesterday that I was living in Washington, D.C., working in corporate America, waking up at 6 am, rushing with my coffee while I brushed my teeth and put on my pinstripe suit and yellow power tie, and drove to work, arriving before rush hour. Only to be stressed out the rest of the day and night.
Offbeat Cartoonist's Life Saved Two Times By Smart Dogs
In the mid-90's I was still relatively new to southern California. I had sold my bustling bus tour business in Washington D.C and moved to Los Angeles to try my hand at screen-writing. Not much was shaking for me for the first few years. Except the ground. I settled in Sherman Oaks in the San Fernando Valley area. I can clearly remember being awakened about five a.m by my golden retriever puppy Otis who was barking wildly. Otis slept on the bed with me but he had hopped down onto the floor to begin his ranting. This was no ordinary bark but I took him outside anyway into the back yard which met an alley. Otis kept barking and was clearly agitated but did not relieve himself. I rubbed my eyes and looked around and there was dozens (if not more) cats walking around in circles in the alley. I had never seen this before. They were clearly not acting the way I normally see cats behave, but it was as if they were trying to escape something. Otis contined his whining nonstop.
Can A Cartoon Save Your Life Or Boost Your Immune System?
Newspaper or Internet cartoons might save your life or build your immune system at least, that is the thinking of many progressive doctors and psychologists.
The Zen Of Mouse Pads
Call me crazy, but anyone who has studied eastern thought, understands there is a "zen" to everything. What affects us we affect and vice versa. Everything as an energy.
A Disabled Person Can Function Better Than Many
It seems like another lifetime ago that I was living in Washington, D.C., working in corporate America, waking up at 6 am, rushing with my coffee while I brushed my teeth and put on my pinstripe suit and yellow power tie, and drove to work, arriving before rush hour. Only to be more anxious at the end of the day. That was my life, day in and day out.
The Zen Of Complex Carbohydrates And Marathon Running
I decided to put all my energies into being "a hippie" rather than athlete while growing up. So when I reached adulthood, I discovered the gym and running to make up for it. Then I went to the extreme and ran several marathons. I thought I was "really something special".
The Zen Of Online Shopping
Mom always took me shopping as a kid. I loved it. Ithink the most adventuresome "hunt" for me was the grocery store, for whatever reason, but, as I matured into my teens, fashion and grooming stores became more interesting. Like a lot of teenage boys, upon new information, girls were suddenly a lot more interesting. And to our (boys) surprise, we were becoming interesting to them as well, though, they were better at hiding it. A new thing was happening to us...relationships. They were so much fun back then. Life was simpler. No bills to pay. Never an argument about finances. My how times have changed.
humor and the zen of laughter
Humans are visual animals. We react to what we see. And to a lesser degree, we are auditory. Sounds can cause a reaction.
the zen of cartoons
The most sensual and visual animal is known as the human. We react to what we see. And to a lesser degree, we are auditory. Sounds can cause a reaction too, and the combination of them can change our lives. But even one of the other can do the same, if, it changes our perception of things. Especially in the realm of humor.
How To Find An Honest Mechanic In Los Angeles
I was waxing nostalgic about the good old days recently and was thinking about my teen years. I spent much more time thinking about, and racing cars, than school. My first muscle car was a dark blue Ford Torino 390 cubes with four on the floor. Man did I think I was hot. I could fill my tank for about $10.
Should We Laugh At Lawyers?
Admittedly, cartoonists should not have the final say on law. I am a cartoonist, so I will have the semi-final say, if I may please the court. I find myself in the precarious position of writing about law. Though I do take the law seriously, I find humor in it as well. And I believe I have carte blanche to do so.
Cow Soup For The Soul
The dog has traditionally been "man's best friend" but one must admit, the cow is the most fun, not to mention the most edible. And as a cow item collector, I feel the cow is possibly the funniest animal on the planet. Though this may be hard for some city-dwellers to fathom, I can assure you Mississippians and other inhabitants of the southeastern states were laughing at cows years before The Far Side.
Aardvarks, Dentists, And Cartoons
Rick London's cartoon site is an animal-lovers delight. It is chock full of animal images, but none is more popular and funny than the aardvark. Aardvark Dentistry is the name of one of their most classic favorites and the cartoonist has decided to do a little research on the aardvark. This is the fascinating information he found. If you are looking for aardvarks, you need to go south of the Sahara Desert in Africa. "Earth Pig" is what the Africans call them, and, in fact, the name ardvark means "earth pig". So, makes sense to me. Their body somewhat resembles a pig which probably has a lot to do with that. But why they call them earth pigs, since regular pigs do not fly (to my knowledge) is beyond me. Their tails resemble a kangaroo's and ears like a rabbit. Aardvarks are nocturnal.
Suffer From Depression? A Dog May Save Your Life
I have battled major depression since age thirteen. It may be even further back than that, that is my first memory of "feeling different". I am now middle-aged.
The Magic Of Stray Dogs And Cats
With humans, unconditional love seems to need to be earned, and that in itself is a dichotomy; it is conditional if it has to be earned. Why is it so hard for humans to purvey real love these days without strings attached. Maybe we've had the wrong teachers. They are out there. A lot of them. One just need find them.
When Realtors Become Cartoonists
"Congratulations, Ms. London," I used to joke that the OB/GYN told my mom, "It's a Realtor". My parents owned a very old real estate stable family real estate company and were from a generation where, if and when an offspring arrived, especially a male, they were born to be bred.that is, bred into the family business, or made to be the prodigal son.
Top Ten Reasons My Parents Didn't Want Me To Be A Cartoonist
The maternity nurse's aid held me in front of my mom in the hospital bed. I'd just entered this world not more than a few hours earlier. It was 1954. "Congratulations, Ms. London," I used to joke that the OB/GYN told my mom, "It's a Realtor". My parents owned a very old real estate stable family real estate company and were from a generation where, if and when an offspring arrived, especially a male, they were born to be bred.that is, bred into the family business, or made to be the prodigal son who as wrong even when he was right. Until this day, at age 53, I still get the feeling I do nothing right. And I may be right.
Funny Dog & Cat Cartoon Products Are Helping Strays
People are the dichotomy of dichotomies. We are very different and very alike in so many ways. I can't think of anthing can bring us closer together than a cute puppy or kitty. They seem to have a special spirit in which we all share the same care.
Humorous Corporate Gift-giving Why So Important?
Think back in your career lifetime. How many calendars, day planners, wine gift baskets, and you name it do you have from various people with whom you've done business or want to do business with you.
Online Shopping Must Do's For Buyers Or Sellers
Every day the emails arrive. "Rick, you have too many stores!!", or "Rick, how in the world am I going to find what I want or need in all your shops?" etc. The general theme is "Why so many web stores?" I will do my best to answer.
The Real Origins Of Rock And Roll
Though I've been telling people since I can remember that Rock And Roll was born in my own little humble hometown of Hattiesburg, Ms., not many believe me. I know it to be true. Even the honorable Rolling Stone Magazine agrees as mentioned in Wikipedia....
Valentine's Day Can Be A Cure For A Stale Relationship
There are ways to get untrapped in a stale marriage as the years pass. Though we still love our mate, we might feel bored with the routine. Don't just rekindle the romance, or fan the flames, add kerosene to the fire of it, and use Valentine's day as a celebration of love, a reason to try something different, and then make it a habit, a new way of life to change the parameters and depth of the relationship. I have seen these tips work many times.
Public Schools Benefit From Cartoons
The children of our current generation, admittedly are more sophisticated than we were, we, being the baby boomer generation. We felt we were the most insightful generation ever. Of course every generation has its share of egotism. That was obviously prevalent in ours (the baby boomers)
Don't Rekindle A Dying Romance Fuel The Fire This Valentine's Day
Even Ozzie and Harriett if not the Cleavers, got bored with each other as the years passed. Of course we still love our signicant other but we are fed up with the day to day routine. Don't just rekindle the flame, or fan the flames, douse it with deisel fuel and make it burn bright! Valentine's Day as a way to show our love, a reason to try something different, and then make it a habit, a new way of life to change the parameters and depth of the relationship. I know from many interviews with couples that these ideas work and are a blast to do.
Thong And Dance Routine
Some guys do things the same all their lives. Women too. We mimic our parents. My mom bought me plain white stretch briefs as underwear all through my childhood, so when I grew into an adult, I bought them too. Little did I know what a fashion sin I was causing.
Building Self-esteem, Even If You've Never Had It
Self-esteem can do wonders for your self-esteem. I know you probably are going to go back and read that first sentence to make sure I worded it properly.
The Good Side Of The Far Side's Gary Larson
I like to pontificate about The Far Side because I can only name a few humorists who had a great impact on my life before I launched Londons Times Cartoons. Two were cartoonists and one of them had a very major impact, Gary Larson The others were comedians and actors such as Steve Martin, Mike Myers, Steven Wright, Red Skelton, Jack Benny, Jackie Gleason, Lucy, Rowan & Martin, Peter Sellers, and several dozen others. One other cartoonist was the late great Charles Schulz, and they all influenced me in a different way.
Depressed And Alone? It's Time To Succed Using The Internet
I am a 53-year old man who has been declared officially disabled for almost a decade now. I never really cared much for labels, but if our society deems it important for governmental reasons to put one on me, then, indeed, that's me.
Happiness: As Good As It Gets
I received an email from a woman I know last week. She considered me a happy person. It surprised me. I don't consider myself particularly sad or pessimistic, just not what one deems happy. I'm simple. Maybe that is what she meant. She gave me ten seconds to reply.
It's All Gary Larson's (the Far Side) Fault
I loved my years of living on Capital Hill in Washington, D.C. I was your typical hippie-turned-yuppie. Still thought like a sixties, guy, dressed like an eighties one. I liked my paycheck more than a bag of pot or the Beatles White Album.
Research Your Way To Better Seo
I find that many webmasters I run into, are already using a number of SEO methods. Unfortunately, they were learned from an online overpriced ebook with very bad information. They always tell me, "Yeah but I was on page one of Google for three months!" I always ask, "But where are you now?" They can't seem to find their site on Google. Of course not. It has been de-indexed. The information in the ebook was black hat SEO. Legal, sure, but not too ethical. Conventional wisdom of building a website name is no different than building a business on Main Street, Your Home Town, USA. Slow and easy.
The Zen Of A New Infant
I just launched a maternity and infant wear business with funny clothes as I am also a cartoonist. The manufacturer puts the cartoon images on the clothes. I've loved all the learning. It is one of my many "niche web sites". I enjoy launching them and see which products people like the most. Maternity is definitely in as are matching gifts and kids tees and hoodies. Though I sell more volume in my big non-niche stores, per visitor, the small stores like MirthGirthBirth fare much better. And they are much more fun.
Why Does America Love The Pink Flamingo?
You love 'em or hate 'em. The pink flamingo that is. To you its art or junk. It's a matter of taste. But pink flamingo fanatics have kept this collectible phenomena alive even after laws were passed to try to prevent them in yard. Today the pink flamingo is more popular than ever. It all started at a little factory called Union Products back in the 1940's in Lemnister, Ma.
How To Buy The Perfect T-shirt
Shopping for the perfect t-shirt? Maybe it's for you. Perhaps a friend on a special occasion. Don't think tees are a great gift? Think again. 99% of Americans have a favorite tshirt and most American adults have between 16-40 designed ones.
Safe Online Shopping Is Like Safe Sex: Common Sense
There are probably as many "How To Shop Safely On The Internet" articles as there are computers in the world. Authors try to create some great mystique to it, very much like early Internet geeks, but the truth is, it is not that difficult, once you know what to look for such as quality, service, shipping costs, guarantees and stability of the company. But how do you find this out? It's not as hard as you may think.
Cartooning: Where Is The Money?
Many think cartoonists become wealthy from newspaper syndication. They don't. Newspapers only pay a few dollars per cartoon and the cartoonist splits that with the syndication firm. Not only that, of the hundreds of thousands of cartoons that are out there trying to make their way to newspaper print, only about .000000001% make it. One has a better chance of winning the lottery.
Why St. Valentine, The Patron St. Of Love, Was Executed
As early as the fourth century B.C., the Romans engaged in an annual young man's rite to passage to the God Lupercus. The names of the teenage women were placed in a box and drawn at random by adolescent men; thus, a man was assigned a woman companion for the duration of the year, after which another lottery was staged. After eight hundred years of this cruel practice, the early church fathers sought to end this practice... They found an answer in Valentine, a bishop who had been martyred some two hundred years earlier.
Art Clock Collecting Top Ten Things To Do
1. Go online and even to museums and see what is out there, the prices, and how they look. Most websites will describe the clock and a museum may even have a detailed brochure. Online is more for newer licensed art clock buying which also generally rise in value along with the artist whose art is on the clock. 2. Shop with more than one dealer. Talk to many and collectors as well. Most of them are generous and will share your enthusiasm. Check online and see what has sold in the past and at what price. Buy prudently but with confidence.
Five Things You Must Do To Be A Professional Humorist
I can't tell you the right or wrong way to enter the field of comedy or how to become a cartoonist and keep a straight face. And that's good. Don't keep a straight face. That is rule number one.

Five Things You Must Do To Be A Professional Humorist
How does one get into comedy or become a cartoonist? Let me count the ways. There are too many to mention and its really one of those trial and error fields. But "funny" is a must.
An Online Merchant Bundles His Products...and Is Proud
I remember when I was six years old and my mom was pregnant with my baby brother. I still have a photo at about month 8.5. It was not a pretty picture (not Mom, she was beautiful), but the fashion they put her in. Then later, we took pics of my baby brother in his trendy infant wear. Not too much prettier. What was wrong? No bundling of products is my theory.
Top Cartoonist Shares Humor Secrets
It still surprises me when people ask me how to become funny? At times I don't know how to take it. I know from my line of work that I am considered funny, but, to be honest, it doesn't feel that much different from when I worked in sales. After all, I majored in business, not humor.
Opera Tenor Great Vahan Mirakian Putting A New Twist On The Genre
I wrote a bit last week about the honor I had to meet opera tenor great Vahan Mirakian last year in Mexico during his deportation battle to re-enter the U.S. I am very pleased to say that he has returned and is doing his good works through his nonprofit foundation, the Vahan Mirakian Foundation. I encourage everyone to visit the site and see some of the videos, hear some snippets of this man's incredible voice at www.vahanmirakian.com.
Opera Tenor Vahan Mirakian Deportation Case Overturned
When I was told by my friend, an immigration attorney, I was going to Mexico to meet a famous European opera star, I expected something very different. The beauty of the small town outside of Tijuana was no surprise, but the sad look on the opera singer's face was. I hadn't a clue as to why someone living in such a paradise, could feel so down. I would later find out.

Herbs, Facts, And Hype
In 1978, I was working as a Realtor in my family's 100 year old business. I "had it all"; of course all but happiness. I believed strongly in holistic medicine, herbs, vitamins, etc. I ran the Lafayette to Crowley, La. 26-mile marathon twice. I owned one of Mississippi's first health and natural food stores. There wasn't an ounce of fat on my body. I could pass for a movie star. A day didn't go by that gorgeous women did not ask me out. I was emotionally, spiritually and physically a mess.
Limu Moui Health Miracle Drink Featured On All Major Networks
As most of my readers and followers are aware, when I am not writing travel articles, I am shamelessly promoting my online stores, cartoons, or writing about dogs, health products, depression, spirituality, et al. I am not a distributor of anything but my own cartoon merchandise and an article here and there. Certainly not network marketing health products, and I've never even seen or read about one that impressed me....until now.

The history of American retailing is wrought with genius and idiocy. We are all capable of both.
Print-on-demand Changes The Branding Horizon
There was a time before the Internet when trying to brand one's own product or service was virtually impossible unless one was looking at a huge trust fund with his or her name on it. The Internet has turned that upside down and now, with online print-on-demand services, there is no excuse to not have one's own brand.
Some Very Interesting Health Facts Regarding Fucoidan & Limu
When one thinks of taking a powerhouse drink for their immune system, these days, limu juice wins out over the rest. But which is the right limu juice for the best fucoidan bio-availability. Distributor Sheila Parrish says The Original Limu Company's delicious fruit drink offers 2400% more than its second leading competitor. This is due to a patented process that is over 20 years old. It only makes sense to go with one that stays and works with the immune system. Though Parrish makes no personal claims, she shows the studies summary in this article.

How The Vns Implant Healed My Depression After 35 Years

A Strange Fish Tale
I am a writer and because I write, I am poor; living down on squid roe. Now that I'm reaching minnowpause, and a good many folks think I'm mentally eel. My theory though is that I've haddock with life, not unlike Salmon Rushdie or Marlin Brando.
Mirth, Girth, & Birth: Brief Funny History Of Maternity Wear
Though the history of maternity wear dates way back to the middle-ages, it is not clear if there really was such a fashion, apart from other fashions, during that time since all clothing was loose fitting so as not to show the female figure.
Dogue Stories: Origins Of The Dog De Bordeux
Since everyone fell in love with the large slobbering dog (Dogue de Bordeaux) in "Starsky And Hutch" America has finally fallen for this huge territorial four-legged beauty, but nobod is quite sure from where it derived. Some historians are certain it derived from the Bulldog and several other breeds somewhere in France, others are certain it was ancient Tibet, and still others ancient Rome during Julius Caesar's rule. There is archeological evidence that a dog of nearly identical looks resided there at the time. The most popular theory is that the Dogue originated in ancient France and lived mostly in the city of Aqitine. Only one thing Dogue experts agree upon is that all these similar breeds share the same gene-link as all 21st century Molossers.
Newspaper Cartoons: Why They Exist
Ever wonder why newspapers devote an entire non-revenue producing page, every day to a "silly group of pictures" called "cartoons"?
Good Things To Know About Poodle History
When I first started my cartoons, I was thinking of dogs. It was going to be a totally dog cartoon (that is, Londons Times Cartoons). But the more dog cartoons I created, the more I wanted to do cats, and relationships, and people, and science, ad nauseum. Oddly enough, after I opened my RickLondonCollection.com store, I started getting more and more emails from poodle owners and lovers wanting to know if I could kindly put up more poodle-oriented merchandise I finally did, but first, I felt compelled to learn the history of the poodle. Though I'd owned dogs all my life, and my first cousin owns and loves her standard poodle, I knew very little about the breed. I was surprised at what I learned.
Not-so-easy Steps Toward Private Branding
Long before the Internet Calvin Klein knew it, Ralph Lauren, even Famous Amos knew it, as did so many others. Think of all the brand names you buy. Have you ever wondered how they did it?
What Nbc, Abc, Cbs And Fox News Says About Limu And Work-at-home

Limu Juice May Save Lives As Seen On Cbs, Nbc, Abc & Fox News
First, to be clear, I do not sell, own stock or have anything to do with the Original Limu Company. Like you, I've been seeing lately claims on the major tv news channels and reading studies from the scientific and medical community about a rare ingredient it contains called fucoidan. My friend Sheila Parrish is a Limu distributor. As a person who loves to research and (if adequate studies have been done), I enjoy trying "new medicines", which are hardly new, but medicinal properties found in plants, seaweed, flowers, herbs, etc.
Cartooning For Dummies...and Very Smart People
"They" say you have to be funny and artistic to be a cartoonist. I beg to differ.
An Eastern Philosophy Look At Niche
I went back to college at age 47 as I was beginning to discover the world was leaving me behind. Not only was I a terrible student in my early 20's even if I had been a good one, nothing counted. Not much in the world of marketing and pr is very relavent. In fact, my recent college accepted not one credit of my 63 hours from a major state university. So be it.
Is New Age Really So New Age At All Or A Big Moneymaker?
I fell in love with a former girlfriend for a whole new reason, that is, a different reason than when I'd had the one before her. It had nothing to do with looks, money, social standing, or anything like it. She had gone through a similar struggle as me, actually one much larger in scope, and not only survived but prospered as a major Beverly Hills Attorney. I, struggled as a writer and cartoonist for several decades, not such a dramatic story as hers, and finally "made it". People ask us often, "How did you do what you did"? (they ask her much more so than me). The one thing we agreed upon was developing organizational skills, having a plan, and acting.
