Skateboarding Ramps: Flying High
Sooner or later, everyone who rides a skateboard, bike or inline skates wants to tackle a skateboarding ramp. So many cool skateboarding tricks can be performed on a ramp, and it is not too hard to build one at home. Having a ramp at home gives you a chance to practice your skateboarding moves in peace and quiet. After all, who wants to take a lot of beginners' wipe outs in public? With some plywood, a few pieces of 2" by 4", and the right tools, you can build your own skateboarding ramp at home.
Skateboarding: Blows Your Mind
Nosegrind, noseslide, 360, Ollie, kickflip-these all sound like factors the NTSB might blame for airplane crashes. In reality, these are some of the many tricks picked up by professional skateboarders in their quest for air. The more daring the trick, the more elevated the risk. Watching pros take to the skies it is hard not to imagine how much fun it must be to pitch yourself into the air, reconnecting with your board on the way back down.
Skateboarding Shoes Help Develop Mad Skills
Skateboarding in America has been here since the get go. Skateboard parks are all over the nation. There are magazines dedicated to skateboarding, and skateboarders show off their skills in competitions. Skateboarding doesn't require a lot of high tech gear; it's just you and your board. Skateboarding can be hazardous, however. A smart skateboarder should wear protective gear to avoid or minimize danger. Knee and elbow pads and a sturdy helmet are important choices, but the skateboarding shoes you sport can make a big difference, too. Good skateboarding shoes not only give you protection, they can improve your riding as well. There are some specially made skateboarding shoes you might wish to try, or you could just follow this advice and choose a pair that meet all the standards.
Cycling Shorts: Give Riders An Edge
The Tour de France, considered by many to be the height of cycling races, has an interesting history. It actually grew out of a fight-a lawsuit between two French magazines over title rights. The loser. L'Auto, decided to do something big to generate publicity and subscriptions and landed upon the idea of a major race with a tempting purse for the victor. This first Tour de France in 1903 was a major success for them-subscriptions multiplied. It was not too shabby for the sport of bike racing, either!
Skateboards: The Evolution
From their earliest years, the vast majority of males seem to be predisposed to love anything with wheels on it. Steam rollers, garbage trucks, race cars-if it rolls it's fascinating. No small wonder then, that of the 18.5 million skateboarders on the planet, 74% of them are males! The first kid who attached wheels to a board and pitched himself down an incline could not have imagined what he started.

New Careers and Gunsmithing Classes
Thousands of people would call themselves gun enthusiasts. They collect modern guns or weapons from a certain time in history and attend antique and modern firearms conventions. Their blood races when they see an excellent example of gun craftsmanship, and they feverishly pursue specific firearms for their collections. For all their numbers, however, not all that many have taken gunsmith training classes or thought about molding their love of firearms into a career.
Cycling Shoes Galore
Cycling is undeniably a great sport. It gets you out in the fresh air, lets you see the countryside up close, and exposes you to nature. Best of all, you do not have to have any special. Unless you are a professional cyclist, you just need a bike and the open road. There are bicycling clothes you can buy to reduce wind resistance or increase speed, but they are not necessary. You might want to consider your cycling shoes, however, for safety's sake. Pleasure riders do not require special cycling shoes, but there are certain factors that could make a regular pair of sneakers unsafe for cycling. Knowing what makes an acceptable cycling shoe could actually avert an accident.
Streamline Your Silhouette With Bicycle Clothes
Biking is a fun sport. Whether you ride for pleasure or in competition, it provides a wonderful aerobic workout and gets you outside in the fresh air. Though bicycling has been popular for literally hundreds of years, only lately have we seen such attention paid to the sport. We can pretty much thank Lance Armstrong for bringing cycling such prominence in America. With its meteoric rise in popularity has come an exploding demand for bicycle clothes. Racers need the technical advantages that scientifically designed materials give, but bicycle clothes are also purchased up by casual riders and with good reason. Bicycle clothes make you more comfortable so you can enjoy your ride to the fullest.
