  • Creating Houses that Suit the Lot
I've been noticing a lot of homes lately that were not built to take full advantage of the lot upon which they were built. The resale value is damaged by this. These said homes are most likely in tract subdivisions. One of the most egregious examples is a property I previewed recently to be found on a cul-de-sac lot neighboring to dedicated greenbelt area. As you go into the street to the left of the home , directly the cul-de-sac you can see a natural ranchland with a wet weather creek, stunning mature oak trees and native vegetation. This is dedicated area that will never be developed. It's wholesome Texas Hill Country scenery of the kind one sees in photos and that you imagine admiring from a back veranda rocking chair or swing. It really beats the heck out of staring at a neighbor's house. But whoever made the house really did blow it.
