Lewis and Stornoway Hotels
Far off the west coast of Scotland can be found a group of islands known as the Outer Hebrides (also known as the Western Isles). In total there are over 200 islands in the group with only a very small percentage are inhabited. The bulk of the population can be found in the town of Stornoway on the largest of the islands, the Isle of Lewis. This article will take a look at Stornoway hotels and accommodation.
Scotland's Remote Western Isles
The Western Isles are a beautiful group of islands situated off the west coast of Scotland. Known as 'na h-Eileanan Siar' in the native language of Gaelic, this incredible group of over 200 islands includes the Isle of Lewis, Isle of Harris, Barra, North and South Uist and a few other small inhabited islands. Over the last few decades there has been a continual growth of the tourism industry with massive numbers now interested in taking vacations in the Western Isles.
