Online distance learning does not totally nullify interaction with an instructor or with other students. The internet provides the instructor and the student with several tools that stimulate, almost perfectly, a face to face interaction. Webcasting is a relatively new mode of instructing online students that has broadened the interactive band of distance learning. Most instructors use recorded audio and visual material because it gives them enough room to speak as extensively as they want to. You can get an elaborate lecture from your distance learning instructor, thanks to recorded visual and audio materials. Besides, there are others who are not so veracious, and they have no way of knowing. Make sure you check whether the distance learning institution and program is accredited or not. You can determine if a particular distance learning program is accredited or not by checking with the national board of education. The council on higher education has a website that you can browse through in order to get an idea of legit distance learning programs.
