Leaders know the knowledge and skills of their team. They maximize this knowledge by asking for help. * Good team leaders also know how to appropriately show appreciation toward team members who do a great job. They know when to reward team members. * Leaders show respect. Good leaders make it a point to try and treat others the way they would like to be treated themselves. When they follow the Golden Rule, they aren't just commanding respect: They show that they deserve respect. * Good leaders also know how to set goals. They know how to establish objectives that are attainable and understandable. * Leaders aren't afraid to include innovation and creativity when setting and achieving goals. * Good leaders also try to keep everyone involved in the strategies that they have implemented. * One of the most important qualities of leadership also includes encouraging integrity, values, and ethics, in the workplace. John Quincy Adams defined a leader as someone who inspired others to dream, learn, do, and become more. If you move people to do these things, you are probably on your way to becoming a great leader.
