The best people one will meet is activists because their focus is beyond their immediate needs and to the greater good and they are willing to pour themselves into a cause that they believe will help mankind. It is an odd characteristic and liability of us activist types that we can get so entrenched in fighting the good fight that we sometimes forget to win! I mean, we don’t have to fight and protest. We can also win. Some years back I was a member of a council composed of leaders of various activism groups and they were all about getting themselves arrested for speaking up for their beliefs… that was their highest level of self satisfaction in accomplishment . Uh…that does nothing for anyone but the protestor himself. And what it accomplishes for that individual is more delusionary than actual. He gets to feel like some great martyr for the cause and position himself in history with Jesus and Joan of Arc because he spent a night in the slammer with a bunch of drunks and would be car thieves. Let me put this another way. Did you ever see those old slapstick comedians or cartoons where they do this shtick of needing to get into some room and hammering with their fists on the door to that room which is locked and, all the while, they fail to notice that there is another door to the side of the one they are hammering on which is wide open and they could simply walk right through? It can be like that for activists, too . For an activist there is a real exhilaration, an amazing high that can be attained by expressing freedom of speech, by confronting the evil in the world, by standing with fellow activists and of self esteem and knowingness of one’s own decency involved in grabbing a bull horn and a picket sign and hitting the street. It is an electrification that only someone who does it with their heart and soul poured into the activity can dig . Others get it by being spectators at sporting events but activists get it by actually going out there and doing something effective. However, we activists sometimes have so much fun doing what we are doing that we forget one little thing… to WIN! As an example, take the Water4Gas system which is a real answer to alternative fuel for automobiles and helps drivers get better MPG, a happier car engine and also helps the environment with cleaner emissions . If you were to pour water into your car engine you would find that a ton of black gunk shoots out the tailpipe. Unscrupulous mechanics sometimes do this for some old clunker that they need to get through and emissions test! .But the same principle applies to the Water4Gas system, putting hydrogen into the air/gas mixture for a couple of weeks will eventually clean up the emissions and permanently, not just to pass an emissions test! So the point is that all of this activism for alternative clean renewable fuel and energy has given us a much larger and more urgent disaster where crops are being grown for biofuel instead of food, resulting in a major global food scarcity and food riots in countries around the world and the prospect of ten to twenty million people dead this year alone from starvation who did not have to die ! Amazingly, biofuel from corn, soy and other such crops doesn’t even better the environmental situation, it worsens it! This tremendous outpouring of concern, stirring of hysteria over global warming and energetic activism is now resulting in death when we could all very easily and profitably win with the Water4Gas system instead ! And then these activists can refocus their energies towards other vital issues such as the restoration of the Bill of Rights, habeas corpus and due process and the defeat of Big Brother surveillance and the National ID card in America .
