COURAGE – It’s courageous in a dumb kinda way to drive your car with the tank near empty because you can’t afford the gas but that isn’t the kind of courage that will impress the lady.
SENSE OF AUTHORITY – Well,none of us have authority at the gas pump, we pay whatever the criminals in charge of the oil companies tell us to pay. And not being able to go out to someplace nice because the money eating monster at the gas station sucked up your last dollar is not demonstrating your sense of authority

So there ya go, gentelemen. High gaoline prices have you thoroughly emasculated and not appealing as sexy to the ladies whatsoever.
