Most of us love to put our money into a vending machine, grab our purchase, and then walk away. This is just one side of vending machines though and for the consumer exactly how the entire transaction should take place. Before that can happen though a great deal of work has to go into it. For those on the vendor side of things, a machine has to be put in place, products placed into it, and the machine working properly just about all of the time. The customers have to be the focus and the priority of the business for it to be a success. What is it that people are looking for? What makes that vending machine experience a good one for them? What is going to turn them away from your machines with no chance of returning in the future? Just because you aren't buying the product from the person directly doesn't mean they don't value customer service. Most vendors will come right out to fix problem machines, refund your money if you got ripped off, and even try to supply a particular item that is in demand. How often have you seen someone filling up a vending machine that you frequent? Chances are very few times but those products don't magically show up in the machines. These suppliers try to stock them during the off peak hours so that they aren't imposing on foot traffic in the area. Many vending machine contracts forbid the stocking of the machines while that business is operational as it can affect their own level of sales. Customers really want their needs to be met without asking so an owner of this type of business has to be ready for them. It should be a given that they want fresh snacks and cold drinks for the machines. They should also be able to get what they pay for without any problems. Don't allow problems to come up that leave your customers disappointed with the experience. Make the vending machine experience one that is very fast and easy for anyone that approaches. Look for issues that could result in them not getting their products or their change as well. Some types of vending machines are known to keep items stuck inside so do your homework. No matter how good of a price you can get you don't want a defective model. Walking away with the small amount of money they lost isn't the issue at all. It is the fact that their need is still unmet. A good vending machine business owner will always step up to the plate and do all they can to keep customers happy. Anticipate problems and you can solve them before they cost you money.
