Activists are the best people because they care about something beyond themselves enough to put time, money, energy, creativity into it and activism, at its best, is a bold statement of the basic goodness of human nature . It is an odd characteristic and liability of us activist types that we can get so entrenched in fighting the good fight that we sometimes forget to win! I mean, we don’t have to fight and protest. We can also win. I was a member of an organization composed of leaders of various activist groups protesting various things and it seemed that the height of their accomplishment was that once in a while one of their members would go out and get himself arrested for protesting something. Unfortunately, though, this accomplishes absolutely nothing for anybody except the individual who gets himself arrested . He gets to feel like Jesus or some other martyr for a cause and position himself in history because he spent a night in the slammer with a bunch of drunks and would be car thieves. Let me illustrate my point . Do you remember watching Bugs Bunny cartoons or the Three Stooges (come on, admit it!) where they do this gag of hammering on the door to some room they frantically need to get into and someone walks by them through an open door to one side or another of that door and goes right into the room with no effort whatsoever? It is like that with activists some times. For someone with a cause to beat the drum for, getting out there and “beating that drum” can be a huge kick, an unbeatable high derived from confronting the evil, getting a chance to express their deepest feelings and concerns and be heard while standing with their brothers and sisters who are also fighting for the same cause. It is a sensation that only an activist can appreciate. The larger portion of society gets their kicks by being spectators at concerts, sporting events and so forth and they think that is life. No, life is getting out there and doing something yourself! However, we activists sometimes have so much fun doing what we are doing that we forget one little thing… to WIN! A case in point is the Water4Gas system for converting car engines from gasoline to gasoline/hydrogen hybrid which helps the individual driver tremendously with drastically improved fuel economy and higher MPG and a quieter and smoother running engine. But it also helps the environment in a major way with much cleaner emissions. It converts the car engine from gasoline to a gasoline/hydrogen hybrid. If you were to pour water into your car engine you would find that a ton of black gunk shoots out the tailpipe. Unscrupulous mechanics sometimes do this for some old clunker that they need to get through and emissions test! . BUT, Water4Gas does the same thing over a couple o weeks after installation but it is permanent! So if all these activists would get behind getting people to use the Water4Gas modification for their car engines they would actually WIN without needing cooperation from governments and corporations and without having to fight so hard. What has environmental activism wrought? All of this activism for cleaner energy and against climate change has led us to biofuel and now we have a global food shortage and 10 to 20 million people dieing this year alone because crops were used for gas instead of food! And biofuel doesn’t even make a cleaner environment, it worsens it! So all this lobbying, all this hysteria of global warming and so forth and all this effort and energy and creativity invested into the environmental movement when all people have to do is buy Water4Gas information, install the system in their cars, get others to do so and we win! And then they will be free to campaign for something else besides clean energy, like the restoration of the Constitution and due process of law in America.
