Of course if you offer sunless tanning then they may find this is one of the very best ways for them to get the color they want without any more red skin. They will still need to be careful in the natural sunlight but at least they can be happy with some other alternatives as well.

Fake tanning products that people use at home tend to be a huge problem as well. I can remember using some that seemed to look great. In a few days though areas around my elbows and knees looked dirty. Some of these products also made my skin look orange instead of tan.

You can definitely help out with this type of situation. First you can explain to them that they can remove a great deal of the color on their own at home with by adding some lemon juice to soap and water. This will help to dissolve the pigment color in the fake tanning product. They can do this and then come back to tan with you later that day.

They can get rid of that orange color long before too many other people find out about it. You may have to get creative with scheduling in order for them to be able to get an appointment though. Such tanning emergencies can often fit in somewhere though if you are willing to really work with the individual.

Taking the time to help people fix their common tanning mistakes is important. Don't have the attitude that it isn't your problem or that you are too busy taking care of your current customers. You will often find helping such individuals is a very simple way to increase the number of regular customers your tanning salon business has.
