Fight And Protest For Your Cause – Just Don’t Forget To Win!

By: GARKO

Activists are the best people because they care about something beyond themselves enough to put time, money, energy, creativity into it and activism, at its best, is a bold statement of the basic goodness of human nature . It is an odd characteristic and liability of us activist types that we can get so entrenched in fighting the good fight that we sometimes forget to win! I mean, we don’t have to fight and protest. We can also win.
Some years back I was a member of a council composed of leaders of various activism groups and they were all about getting themselves arrested for speaking up for their beliefs… that was their highest level of self satisfaction in accomplishment .
Uh…that does nothing for anyone but the protestor himself. And what it accomplishes for that individual is more delusionary than actual. He gets to feel like some great martyr for the cause and position himself in history with Jesus and Joan of Arc because he got locked up in a cell for few hours with a gang of alcoholics and unsuccessful car thieves .
Let me illustrate my point .
Did you ever see those old slapstick comedians or cartoons where they do this shtick of needing to get into some room and hammering with their fists on the door to that room which is locked and, all the while, they fail to notice that there is another door to the side of the one they are hammering on which is wide open and they could simply walk right through?
It can be like that for activists, too .
For someone with a cause to beat the drum for, getting out there and “beating that drum” can be a huge kick, an unbeatable high derived from confronting the evil, getting a chance to express their deepest feelings and concerns and be heard while standing with their brothers and sisters who are also fighting for the same cause. It is a sensation that only an activist can appreciate. Others get it by being spectators at sporting events but activists get it by actually going out there and doing something effective.
BUT, and this is a huge “but”, we too often forget to just WIN!
A case in point is the Water4Gas system for converting car engines from gasoline to gasoline/hydrogen hybrid which helps the individual driver tremendously with drastically improved fuel economy and higher MPG and a quieter and smoother running engine. But it also helps the environment in a major way with much cleaner emissions. It converts the car engine from gasoline to a gasoline/hydrogen hybrid.
If you were to pour water into your car engine you would find that a ton of black gunk shoots out the tailpipe. Unscrupulous mechanics sometimes do this for some old clunker that they need to get through and emissions test! . BUT, Water4Gas does the same thing over a couple o weeks after installation but it is permanent!
So the point is that all of this activism for cleaner energy and against climate change has led us to biofuel and now we have a global food shortage and 10 to 20 million people dieing this year alone because crops were used for gas instead of food! Amazingly, biofuel from corn, soy and other such crops doesn’t even better the environmental situation, it worsens it!
So all this lobbying, all this hysteria of global warming and so forth and all this effort and energy and creativity invested into the environmental movement when all people have to do is buy Water4Gas information, install the system in their cars, get others to do so and we win!
And then these activists can refocus their energies towards other vital issues such as the restoration of the Bill of Rights, habeas corpus and due process and the defeat of Big Brother surveillance and the National ID card in America .
