Basically one can choose a wedding gown that is solid in the main color or one that has segments of colors. If you choose the solid color gown it is basically the same as an off white or white color scheme except it is another color.

Colored wedding dresses do not cause the stir that they would have done 2 decades ago as we see an increase in couples looking to stamp their individuality and personality on their special day. Ofcourse the overriding principle should be that the color (or colors) chosen blend and tie back into the flowers, table arrangements and the bridesmaids outfits.

One has to think forward and consider how photogenic all the color combinations will actually be.

Some people might not like colored wedding gowns but it is your wedding and you are paying for it so go ahead and indulge your fantasies and whims. After all, we do not get married plenty of times, even with divorce and everything, so make sure that you make it your best.
