One big advantage with this idea is that you would be able to work without any interruption from telephone calls or your family members. You are also able to think clearly because you are starting your day fresh after a good night's rest. Clarity leads to organization and this is the key to productivity. Get yourself organized A daily or a weekly planner is a necessity to know the activities for the whole week. With this planner you cannot possibly miss a doctor's appointment or any other important meeting you plan to have due to a busy schedule in your daily life. Prepare a daily checklist It is not possible for a normal human being to remember so many things. Writing down important matters would help you get things done on time. As and when you complete each of the tasks for the day, you might cross them off your list. You would be able to focus on things you need to do instead of trying to remember what needs to be done. A checklist is also a great way to accomplish several tasks in a day. Self-Motivate yourself You could read a lot of books on this subject. You need to give yourself a motivational boost on and off to set your goals and accomplish them. Motivation slogans, A mission statement, cartoon pictures that remind you of your responsibility, etc. are all small things that could fuel your energy for the day. Make use of Office Automations We live in the world of automation and internet. You can automate most of your tasks to virtual assitants in India... Save yourself tons and tons of time, work, energy and struggle with something you may not be familiar with. Just give it to someone else, get a robot or software to do your work instead. Leverage what you got. Take a rest once in a while too! You should try to get a break after about 2 hours of activity. Let it be 10-20 minutes, where you can spend time with family, read your e-mail or read your favorite magazine, just to relax. Remember to keep an eye on the goal and don't take too long rest, that will likely put you off and get you off-track. With these simple, but straight foreward tips you should be able to convert work from home to productivity at home, mixed with fun and play. People will start to look at you and wonder where all this productivity came from and pat you on the back.
