Some people find it to be not as sweet as hot chocolate but not as bitter as coffee. It is the perfect in between drink for someone who visits a coffee shop and needs something new to try.

An espresso is another term that you will see quite a bit in coffee shops. This is a very strong type of coffee. It is dark and thick and many people order it in order to give them the caffeine they need to get their day going. You will find many drinks in coffee shops have espresso. It won't be uncommon to see signs that you can add another shot of it too for an additional price.

Learning these basic coffee shop terms will help you to understand just what all is being offered on that menu. That can make it less intimidating when it comes to ordering a drink you haven't tried before. That can be fun and exciting too as it will add some variety to your daily routine.
