When you are looking to buy a new acoustic guitar, it is a good idea to read as many acoustic guitar reviews before you invest your money. There are two different types of reviews around today. The first is the one which has been written by an expert and is someone who has had the chance to try out various different guitars regularly. Whilst the other is written by users and relates to one specific guitar that they are using. All the expert acoustic guitar reviews are written by someone who has several years of guitar experience. These people should also have several guitars from different manufacturers that they have used and reviewed. They should also be able to point out the good points and bad points of any acoustic guitar, even though they may prefer a particular one. Any biases that they have they should admit to and explain why. You are not looking for someone with a Bachelor's Degree in music. What you are looking for is someone who knows their stuff, and tells you why you should take what they say into consideration when looking for a new guitar. When reading through users reviews look for websites that offer you them on various different guitars and which have been written by a number of different musicians. Ideally, the best place to go for reviews like this is by visiting online music stores. When reading through the reviews look closely by those musicians who play the same kind of music as you and are at the same performance level also. When looking for acoustic guitar reviews online, whether provided by experts or users, here are a couple search tricks that you could use. When doing a search for acoustic guitar reviews, put quotation marks around the phrase, for example "acoustic guitar reviews". If you are doing a search on Yahoo, using this phrase will reduce the search results given from around 17 million for acoustic guitar reviews without the quotation marks to just over 6000 when the quotation marks have been used. You can also use this trick when you are searching for individual acoustic guitar reviews. For example, if you are looking for reviews relating to the Martin DX1. By putting in martin dx1 (with no quotes) in a Yahoo you will get around 38,000 search results, but by typing in "martin dx1" you will end up with around 10,000 search results instead. Another trick that you can do when searching for reviews relating to acoustic guitars add a plus sign (+) right up against the word or phrase that you want to have in each result you get. Doing this you will be able to further specify exactly what it is you are searching for. Just by typing in "Martin dx1 review" will end up in you getting a total of nine results. This is because you will only be provided with those sites that have the exact phrase in them that you keyed in initially. Also if you want to further try and get even better reviews relating to the acoustic guitar you are interested in then mix up the words that you are using as your search criteria. If say for example you type in "Martin DX1"+review rather than just getting nine search results back you will find that Yahoo now offers you about 500. Plus using this trick you can search for specific information in relation to say what kind of action the instrument has. Just simply include within your search criteria action before the plus sign and the search engine will do the rest. If you use the tricks that we have mentioned above then you will find it much easier to find the right kinds of acoustic guitar reviews that you are after. This will not only save you a lot of time but it will help to make the decision as to which one you should buy much easier also.
